    Who are we?

    We are an old player in the HR zone. Swimming across the HR domain for more than 18 years, Day1 Developers are exclusively catering to the IT industry of all sizes- from start-ups to MNCs. We are best known for our- Recruitment, Staffing and setting up ODC in the Built-Operated-Transfer model.

    With adequate experience in the field, we have learnt so much in diverse aspects of the field which has helped us to formulate our ways of conducting our training and other related activities.

    Why we started Day1Developers?

    After experiencing and noticing some technicalities, particularly by the small and medium sized Information Technology product companies, when it comes to issues associated with entry level tech hiring, we were propelled to find a solution to the following issues.

    • Campus hiring’s are little tricky – you need to plan and hire well in advance of 6 months of their completion of course and you are not sure of he/she joining you after that, as they hold multiple offer letters.
    • Small and Medium IT organizations, lack the dedicated training infrastructure and hierarchy to impart the required training.
    • Retention of the trained manpower has become a huge issue, resulting in escalated SOW clauses.
    How Day1developers deliver?

    On campus hiring’s challenges – We hire eligible and deserving Students off the campus into our payrolls directly. this proves our confidence and competence in our hiring metrics and standards. And since we have heavily dedicated and invested in up-skilling their talents they are in-turn committed to work with us for a specified duration of time.

      Honestly, we tried all other traditional methods like – paid training, Income sharing Agreements (ISA) with students, Billing to the clients etc., None of them had the desired results.

    On the issue of retaining deployed manpower – All of them would be up-skilled to the industry expectations and would be deployed for you to measure, fine-tune and retain in your rolls – after a prescribed duration. Further, we assure the deployed manpower to retain and replace the underperformers.

    How do we choose the candidates ?

    We do recruit the candidates from the colleges directly. We do have standard process of conducting a – psychometric test / analytical and reasoning test / coding test, followed by a soft skill assessment. We do have a standard cut-off percentage of all their semesters to appear for the above tests.

    How is up-skilling planned and delivered ?

    At a broader level, we are making sure, each of the candidate would have spent at least 1000 man-hours on coding practice. We make sure they do get the necessary environment to deliver under defined target timelines.

         Most of their assignments/projects are available for client to duly verify on the hosted environments. Alternatively, clients also could ask for certain scenarios to be delivered by the candidates, to make sure of their delivery skills.

    what is the mode of employment?

     It would be in staffing mode to start with.

     We have invested heavily in upskilling their talents. Due to which, the candidates are committed to work with us for a specified period of duration, hence we assure the retention of the deployed developers, along with replacing the underperforming candidates.

    Can the clients hire the candidates into their payroll ?

    Yes. There is a cost and duration involved. We could discuss this on a case to case basis.
